Hörger
Specialist in sports field and athletics track maintenance.
For over 150 years, Hörger Maschinen has been active in the manufacture and sale of machinery in the garden and park sector. Since 1993, they have been operating as one of the leading manufacturers of maintenance machines for athletic tracks and artificial turf fields.
The range includes an athletic track cleaner, artificial grass cleaner and artificial grass brushes.
Athletics track cleaner
Many sports facilities are equipped with synthetic coverings.
The benefits of these coverings such as anti-slip, elasticity, water permeability, reduced risk of accidents will, without care and maintenance, lose their effectiveness within a few years due to penetration of dirt particles and algae formation.
The Hörger (Hoerger) athletic track cleaner operates on the basis of high-pressure cleaning with single-stage dirt water pick-up and is mounted as a combination on compact and narrow-gauge tractors. The athletic track cleaner consists of a cleaning unit at the front of the tractor and a tank pump unit for mounting at the rear of the tractor. The rear tank is divided into a clean and dirty water section.
The clean water is fed by a drive shaft-driven high-pressure pump and through hoses to the front cleaning unit.
Here, water is effectively brought to the soil surface by 4 nozzles attached to two rotors. At the same time, the front cleaning unit is vacuumised and the water with the removed dirt is absorbed. The dirty water is then discharged to the rear tank. The dirty water can be easily drained through the drain valve
be disposed of.

Artificial turf cleaners for wet cleaning
Surfaces of artificial grass become contaminated by environmental influences such as dust, pollen and plant residues and other contaminants, including, for example: cigarette butts, crown corks and the like.
Over time, humus particles collect on (and in) the surface of the artificial grass. This forms an ideal breeding ground for algae and moss. When artificial grass is overgrown with algae and moss, there is an extreme risk of slipping and the risk of accidents for athletes increases significantly.
For compact and narrow supertractors, Hörger has developed the SKR artificial turf cleaner for intensive wet cleaning of entire artificial turf surfaces while removing dirty water in one operation.
The artificial turf cleaner consists of a front-mounted cleaning attachment and a rear-mounted tank/pump unit. The rear tank is divided into fresh and dirty water sections.
The PTO-driven high-pressure pump draws in the fresh water and carries it through hoses to the front cleaning device.
Here, cleaning is carried out using the wash and brush method with pure water without addition of cleaning agents. The dirty water is pumped into the rear holding tank via an injector pump.
Even moss and algae formation is removed with the SKR artificial grass cleaner.
In addition, the container pump unit is compatible with the athletic track cleaner KBR front cleaning attachment.
Artificial grass brushes
For lifting the fibres and levelling the sand or rubber granules of artificial grass sports floors, Hörger has the BS2000 Brush System in its range.
The brush is built on a galvanised and stainless steel frame, which can be attached to a tractor's three-point hitch, or it can be towed via the drawbar.
The frame can also be used with other equipment, such as depth control wheels, steel spring rake and levelling blade to decompress and level the infill up to a working width of 2 metres, or with just the brushes. Here, work can be done up to a working width of about 3 metres.
The BS2000 brush system can be supplied with the following options:
1) Spring steel rake to loosen parts of compacted filler material;
2) A rubber levelling sheet to level the filler material;
3) Transport wheel set;
4) Drawbar attachment for tractors without three-point linkage.
